Ribcase Camp Trunk

Ribcase Camp Trunk turns packed storage into useful campsite infrastructure once camp is established. A flat-pack trunk that stays open and stable during camp setup.

Design Overview

The Trailbound Grid Storage collection uses ribs, rotating pods, flexible cells and nested compartments to make equipment easier to access without defaulting to a rigid rectangular box. Within this system, Ribcase Camp Trunk is focused on a flat-pack trunk that stays open and stable during camp setup.

Why It Works

• Transforming organization: Four diagonal semi-rigid ribs rotate from the lid corners and cross-lock under the base.
• Accessible storage: The same ribs create a raised drying gap when the trunk is inverted.
• Intended storage role: A flat-pack trunk that stays open and stable during camp setup.
