Memory Grid Gear Tray

Memory Grid Gear Tray turns packed storage into useful campsite infrastructure once camp is established. A flexible tray that conforms around irregular small equipment.

Design Overview

The Trailbound Grid Storage collection uses ribs, rotating pods, flexible cells and nested compartments to make equipment easier to access without defaulting to a rigid rectangular box. Within this system, Memory Grid Gear Tray is focused on a flexible tray that conforms around irregular small equipment.

Why It Works

• Transforming organization: A matrix of shallow silicone cells folds along several diagonal paths.
• Accessible storage: Pressing selected cells down creates custom nests; a thin magnetic perimeter closes the shaped tray as a packing lid.
• Intended storage role: A flexible tray that conforms around irregular small equipment.

Materials and Construction

The material system is selected to support the product's transforming architecture, field handling and packability.

• Platinum silicone cell sheet
• recycled PET perimeter
• encapsulated low-force magnets
